Progression of 'Red Hood Rebirth Helmet' version 1, will likely build one of the v2 version in the future. :)
Figured I share in case anyone needed some ideas on how to approach the process.
Fresh of the Printer (18 hours)
Removed Supports
Sanded to 80 grit
Sanded to 320 grit (80-120-220-320) - each one was only up to removing major sanding marks after the 80 grit
First Primer Layers (some visible imperfections)
Glazed some visible imperfections
Final Primer Layer
Metallic Gold paint layer (can also be Metallic Chrome - but went with Gold) picture is kind of blurry
Red Anodized paint - final coat
Red Anodized dry and Final Matte Clear layer
Added the black accents added (still touched up a few times after the this picture)
Inner padding added (not the prettiest looking inside, but fits comfortably)
Added LED glow eyes (painted part of them black to minimize bright light right in front of eyes, black tape for wire management and to hide wires)
But may change out the LEDs, can't see with them glowing in places that are not bright)
Battery box with plug to be able to hide away from helmet or use without power.
Final Product :)
