Here's some documentation on my continuing build of cyclops' visors from x men. the model i'm using is the file named "comics version" (project #1577 for those of you searching) which i believe is based off the original x men movie's visor. They are printed on my Cr 10s in PLA. I've currently printed out 3 of these, two at 105% scaling (my final sizing), for two color schemes and one art 110 from before i had a definitive scaling decision. As I'm looking for the more cartoon/comic look i opted to snip out the two pieces in the actual slot, and filled the resulting holes in before finishing. In addition, these are all heatformed to fit my head properly post printing. Once that's done they're extremely comfortable to wear! I'm currently waiting for the clear red plastic and lights I'll be using to come in, but I'll be sure to follow up on how I'm implementing those functions in. if you'd like to follow this build, I'll continue to post it here, or you can see more on my instagram @capversecosplay. Thanks for taking a look!
105% print after heatforming
excuse the quarentine chin LOL
Post sanding, Gloss black base and graphite for color scheme 1. Note the snapped out slot details.
Post paint job in daylight, dark version- will update with the brighter, punchier yellow when that version is done.
Thanks for reading once again! Feel free to shout if you have any questions. With all the projects and do3d files i've picked up I'm sure I'll be around here a lot!
I really appreciate the kind of topics you post here. Thanks for sharing us a great information that is actually helpful. Good day! Robinhood Reparations LLC
