This helmet has been a long time coming but I am incredibly proud of the finished result.
I used the free file from Do3d. I knew I wanted to capture all of the beautiful detail, so I printed this on my Elegoo Saturn in ABS resin. The saturn isn't big enough to print the whole helmet, so I ended up splitting into multiple pieces. 10 for the front and 4 for the back I believe ( you can see the seams in the raw print)

Everything was sanded and the seams were filled. I deliberately avoided sanding any of the details so they weren't smoothed over. Then came the fun part...
I actually have 3 different blacks on this helmet. A matt covering all the panels. Gloss over the details and I used Musuo black ( Like Vanta black) in the crevies to make them super dark. I used molotow chrome for the silver parts.

The part I am most proud of is using Invisible Ink over all of the details. It is completely undetectable until a UV light is shined, and then it glows.
In normal daylight, it glows a nice subtle blue. But in a dark room its so vibrant and just awesome to look at.

This is one of my favourite things that I have created. Here is a little video showing the helmet with a UV torch.
