Hey, everyone my name is Harrison Daines, I've been in the 3d printing community for about 2 years. I been working with Creality's Ender 3 Pro Link: https://www.amazon.com/Official-Creality-3D-Removable-220x220x250MM/dp/B07K3SZBHJ, this printer has gone beyond my expectations printing high quality prints. I've recently been making cosplay such as an Iron Man suit. Some of the tools I use include, are my slicer Ultimaker Cura Link: https://ultimaker.com/software/ultimaker-cura, This slicer is top of the line, and very user friendly, I use Overture filament, I also use a variety of other filament brands such as, Warhorse, and Hatchbox.
The Ender 3 Pro comes highly recommended from me, it is a cheap printer I got mine for about $250. This is a great printer and worth every penny. The only thing that's a little annoying is the build space 220, 220 is a little small for me, for most people this is more than enough space, but printing cosplay parts are a little difficult because you have to cut parts. Overall this is a great entry level printer
Ultimaker Cura is great, I use it for most of my prints, I occasionally use Slic3r just for cutting parts. Mostly this is a great slicer it is very user friendly and give pretty accurate estimations on print time. This slicer has a few small issues though. The first thing is that it has no measuring system, this is a small issue and I just pop the file into Slic3r. I really think this is a slicer everybody should use because of the overall efficiency.
The filaments I use are recommended by many people and highly praised. They have shown this with quality prints, vibrant colors, and efficiency. I recommend these filaments because of these reasons. Links: overture3d.com, hatchbox3d.com and amazon.com
About 8 months ago I started printing my Iron man suit, this was the main reason I got into 3d printing. I was searching high and low on the internet for good files thankfully I found some on do3d.com (this website!) and I have successfully started printing and have gone through much trial and error to get it to fit. Lots of times ending up with a pile of spaghetti or something WAAAAAAY too small. After all this I have printed and painted and amazing 1/2 suit.
3d printing is an amazing tool and I have not had a single regret with this hobby. If anybody reading this is thinking about getting into 3d printing I have some advice. DEFINITELY DO IT! 3d printing has been an amazing journey and I sincerely hope that many others can experience this amazing art form.
