I have a mini+ and use the makerbot software with makerbot pla. I dont have a lot of experience with other prints but I really like the whole 3D printing world and would love something with a bigger build area and options to use different filaments.
The Makerbot Mini+ only has a small build space, so I have to use Meshmixer or Netfabb to cut the STLs down to fit, then assemble them like 3D puzzles. Sometimes its fun, other-times its annoying. Ive gotten used to using things like filler, bondo and sandpaper to hide seams and make it look like it was always a single piece.
Something with a bigger area would make printing things like helmets and armor much easier. And being able to use any filament, or filament of a different type (abs/pla+/flex/etc) would be really neat too.

Totally relate! I also started with the Mini+ and while it’s a great intro printer, the small build volume can be limiting — especially for larger projects like helmets or props. I’ve spent plenty of time slicing STLs and sanding seams too! A larger printer with open filament options is definitely on my wishlist. Wow! It looks so cool. I really love it and brawl stars online which is interesting.
