What's the best way to slice my DO3D Mandalorian Helmet so that it fits on my Ender 3?
I've purchased the Mandalorian helmet and I'm getting ready to print it on my new Ender 3 printer. How do you guys recommend I sliced the model so that it fits on my printer.
i came here to ask the same question! i am getting myself in a pickle tricking to decide the right way to approach this, but haven't been able to find much advice... other than buy a bigger printer :(
I ended up splitting the helmet up into 4 pieces and they fit my Ender 3. I used Meshmixer to split the model. The top halves above the t-vistor and the bottom halves being the front up to where the rim ends. I suggest you play with it and see how it fits using Cura. I also found some useful tutorials here: http://bobsworkshop.com/the-mandalorian-helmet-part-2-assembly/
My personal way..... I would put it in meshmixer, and slice it into 4 parts. That would require little to no supports at all and then welding it together from the inside.

I'd love to see how yours it's coming up. I just finished gluing the pieces last night.
