The Clone Trooper helmet (Clone Trooper Phase 2 Star Wars Full Body Armor Suit | Project #1584) has a very small opening making it too small to wear. I printed at 100% and it was too small for my 9 year old. I then printed at 112% and still had to cut the base of the helmet off and widen it. The helmet looks massive on him but the opening is only just wide enough to get his head through. Has anyone else had this issue? I am looking to buy one of the other Clone variant helmets. Do they have the same issue?

@ uno online:Hello, I also have the same issue.
3D modeling is cool but also difficult
Yes it is the opening that’s the issue. This image shows him wearing the one scaled to 112%. As you can see it looks very large on him, but even this one couldn’t be worn until I cut the collar off and widened the opening.
Hello @mmclean888 , are you talking about the neck opening? If so that is because it follows the original design. Unlike Stormtrooper, it has a smaller opening around the neck. We will take a look at it and see if we can find alternative solutions and keep you updated. The best way to scale the helmet for your 9 year old child is to have a scan of his or her head. You can 3D scan with smartphone apps. If 3D scanning is not possible you could use this tutorial https://www.do3d.com/forum/3d-printing-tips-tricks/easy-way-to-scale-a-3d-printable-helmet-to-fit-your-head-i-demo-print-file-used-spider-man-scarlet-shell-and-eyes-from-do3d.
