10 Rings Complete
After many weeks of trial and error my Shang Chi 10 Rings are finally complete.
I decided I wanted to make 5 Wenwu Rings and 5 Shang-chi rings. I used the solid ring file for Wenwu's, and the hollow file for Shang-Chi's. They rings were printed on my Elegoo Saturn in ABS Like Grey and Siraya Clear.
For Wenwu's rings I used invisible UV ink to make them glow. I painted the rings copper metallic and chrome for the detailing, then went and painted over the details I wanted to glow, in the ink. Under a UV light they glow!
For Shang-chi's, I used LED filament. Since I had printed these hollow, after some trial and error I was able to fit the filament, a resistor, a micro switch and battery into each individual ring.
This means each ring can be turned on by itself, and there is no awkward wire running down my arm connecting them to a battery pack.
I tried my best to get each set of rings to match the other and I am really happy with how they turned out.
