3D Printer & Tools Review

Hi everyone! I'm Nico, from Italy, Tuscany. I started printing some months ago. I had the 3D printing dream in mind for a while, actually. Honestly, I was convinced that a good printer couldn't cost less than 1000€ but, after long research, I discovered the Ender3Pro and I bought one on Amazon for 220€. In the beginning, I started printing some small upgrade, some useful, some not really. Then I bought new springs, a metal extruder kit, and a glass bed when the magnetic one was too wasted from my experiments. In a couple of days, a BL-Touch will be here to be tested. As you can see I print in a dark room, so a Dioder from Ikea was my solution to have enough light to work and an old USB webcam was recycled to be a web camera using Yawcam software to stream online (when I'm not home or when I want to share with some friends). Finally, I managed to install Octoprint on my PC (instead of on a RaspberryPi just because I have a PC just over there). I met the FiloAlfa guys on a modeling themed event: their PLA is awesome. Recently, actually yesterday I discovered there is a huge shop of filament closer to my home, Filoprint and I get some samples: they seems so good, can't wait to test them more.

In those months I printed some home hacks and tools, replacement parts, or small decoration. Then I focused on printing LEGO-themed thing, from the iconic flower to some prototypes which I print for my LUG (LEGO Users Group) to be tested. We are working on a remote control compatible with LEGO Power Function products and so on. As you may notice LEGO is my main hobby (check my Instagram). I would like to improve my prints, learn something more about post-printing processing and start the building of my favorite Iron Man Armor: MK5 (the suitcase one, from Iron Man 2).. this also explains how I discovered Do3D.com!
