3D Printer & Tools Review

Public·17 members

For the love of 3D printing.

For the past 4 years I've been working on a Hictop Prusa i3 model (a Hictop version of the i3 I guess).

This little guy is a self assemble 3d printer that at the time was just over $400 and as far as reasonably priced printers go this was a great investment and have gotten hundreds of prints out of it with only now having to replace the extruder head. There is a few cons I could point out but to little fault, the cable placement for this guy is a little messy and I've tried doing some management with little success. Another issue I have is the movement of the frame during printing that requires fastening after 10 or so prints.

Cura slicer is the only software I've used and so far I haven't seen a reason to try anything else as it does everything i need except I have not figured out hot to slice up a model in the software but that's just a youtube video away that I'm too lazy to look up :).
