Hi, I'm Carlos, and I'm currently studying animation and modeling in 3d, i really hoppe to work modeling and printing my own creations, now i only use cura as program, but im learning blender, zbrush and maya, the problem with maya is that it doesn't export in stl, and that's a problem because it is a really good program for modeling, but don't worry, i tried to export in obj to blender, adjust the model and export in stl, so it isnt that bad.
