Trying to figure out a reliable CRV drop-off, any real observations?
I have been collecting cans and bottles for a while and finally want to bring them in somewhere proper. Before I pick a spot, I would like to hear from people who actually went through the process recently. What did you pay attention to and what ended up mattering most in practice?

My own observation after asking around is that the basics are fairly similar across centers, clear, green and brown CRV glass bottles are accepted, wine and liquor included, as long as nothing is broken. Aluminum cans are usually the easiest part, crushed or whole does not seem to make a real difference for sorting. While reading about local centers I noticed one option described here which mentions a fairly quick drop-off flow and a small Tuesday bonus on aluminum, around ten cents more per pound. Nothing dramatic, but if you tend to save up larger loads, picking the day can matter more than the place itself.
What I would personally check first is whether they weigh in front of you and tell you the current rate before processing. That alone says more about how a center operates than any description online.
