Do hosting review websites actually help you make better decisions?
I’ve been trying to choose a new hosting provider because the one I’m using now has become really inconsistent. I spent a couple of evenings comparing ratings on different review sites, but every list seems to recommend completely different companies. Some reviews sound genuine, while others feel like they were written just to sell something. I don't mind doing extra research, but I'm curious whether anyone here has actually picked a host based on review websites and ended up happy with the decision

I still read review sites, but I treat them as just one piece of the puzzle instead of the final answer. I usually compare several sources, then look for recent customer comments and test the support team myself before paying for anything. For larger projects I also check company background, especially when I'm considering dedicated servers, because long-term reliability matters more than flashy marketing. Sometimes I even look at the
to get a bit of context about the company behind the content. It doesn't tell you everything, but combining that with user experiences and a trial period has helped me avoid a couple of bad choices over the years
