Thinking about getting a crypto license in an EU country, any tips?

I’ve been reading about this topic too, especially now that MiCA is making the EU rules more structured. Spain seems to be one of the jurisdictions people are paying more attention to, partly because the CNMV is involved as the main authority for crypto asset service providers. From what I understand, getting a CASP license in Spain is not just a formality. Companies need to show proper governance, AML procedures, security measures, and clear internal controls. So it may be a good option for serious businesses, but it’s definitely something that requires legal preparation and a realistic understanding of the obligations. For me, the main thing is not just where the license is issued, but how well it is recognized by banks, partners, and regulators in practice.

It's evident that the evolution of cryptocurrency regulations across various regions is a significant development for businesses operating in this sector. The move towards more structured frameworks, like those seen in the EU, indicates a broader shift towards integrating digital assets into traditional financial systems, albeit with distinct requirements. One can observe a common thread in the emphasis on compliance, particularly around investor protection and market stability. This ongoing formalization of rules presents both opportunities and challenges for current and prospective crypto enterprises worldwide.
