Anyone else use a VPN to get better deals when shopping online?
I've been curious lately if using a VPN can actually save you money when shopping online. I always see ads about VPNs protecting your data on public Wi-Fi, which is cool, but I'm more interested in whether they can help you find better deals. Does changing your virtual location really unlock different prices on things like flights or hotels? Has anyone had any success with this? I'm tired of feeling like I'm always paying the highest price just because of where I live! Maybe it's just a myth, but it would be awesome if it actually worked.

That's an interesting question! I actually started using a VPN recently and have been experimenting with this. I was looking for something with no logs and easy to use, and found https://toggle.org/ . What I've noticed is that depending on the site, you can sometimes find slightly cheaper prices on things like software subscriptions or even certain electronics by changing your virtual location. It seems to work best if you connect to a country where the cost of living is generally lower. I haven’t tried it much for flights or hotels because I usually book those way in advance, but it could be worth a shot.
