Birthday Party Ideas?

I'm planning a birthday party for next weekend and could really use some creative ideas. We're expecting around 30 guests (mix of friends and family), and I want to make it memorable without breaking the bank or turning my apartment into a disaster zone.
Here's what I've got so far:
Theme: Casual "Backyard BBQ meets Games Night" (indoor/outdoor depending on weather)
Food: Grilling burgers and hot dogs, plus a DIY taco bar (easy and crowd-pleasing)
Drinks: Signature cocktail + non-alcoholic options
Where I'm stuck:
Entertainment – Any fun group games that work for mixed ages? (20s–50s)
Decorations – I want it to feel festive but not over-the-top. Balloons? Banners? Lighting?
Timing – 3 PM to 10 PM – is that too long? Should I plan structured activities?
